So — have been messing about with this thing for maybe four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at bet calculator yankee and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really changed how I bet was the nerdier extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout feels a bit basic — not much flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine though the acca grid are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here converter odds — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the more serious extras. They’ve got an probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface is pretty plain — zero flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works though the bigger tables are a squeeze. And no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, try it — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am UK based, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.

How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout would be when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at odds convertor and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that actually made a difference is the more serious extras. The odds-to-probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design feels very functional, let’s say — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
